Missed last week. Haven’t taken any photos since January so I need to get out now that weather is getting better. Took this at the same time I took Fallen Tree. I was drawn to the arch formed by the bent limb and how it seems to draw you into the forest.
Another one from a few weeks ago when I went out with a prime lens to see what I could photograph. Not that nice of a day, but that is normal for winter around here. Typically we don’t have a lot of snow and we normally left with the dull browns and grays. The blue/gray of the sky gives you an idea of what the overall temperature in the scene, and I avoided warming it up in Lightroom so I could capture the cold late afternoon. Finally, As you eye moves from the bottom center towards the top you can see the flock of Mallards that were hanging about.

As promised last week here is a photograph from my recent walk. I set out looking for some winter scenes knowing that most, if not all, the snow was gone, but hoping to at least find something. I found this ice scene which I felt had some promise.
