Last Leaves

So last week, or maybe the week before, I decided to just use a prime lens and see what I could get. Since I only own one prime lens the choice was easy. I wish finding a subject was that easy though. I believe I took 47 photographs, and, at least for now, I think this was the best of them. It was at then end of my walk and this set of leaves caught my eye. I opened the lens to the maximum aperture to achieve the low depth of field, and cropped the final edit to a square. I reduced the saturation around the leaves to bring the out a little.

Ice

As promised last week here is a photograph from my recent walk. I set out looking for some winter scenes knowing that most, if not all, the snow was gone, but hoping to at least find something. I found this ice scene which I felt had some promise.

Fall on the River

Another photograph from a couple of weeks ago. This is one of the few that I took of the leaves on the other side of the river.
