This was the second photograph of this Heron I took that morning. The first was with the sunlight in front, but I this one with the sunlight from behind better. I was surprised at how close he let us get to him.
After the last two days here, I wish that I was back at Hilton Head, walking on the beach in 60+ degrees temperatures. This shot was taken while looking south at 5 pm. There were people out there, but I used Lightroom’s healing function to remove them.
Went to Hilton Head a few weeks ago and was able to get some photography done. Took this on one of our walks on the beach. I was hoping to capture some close-ups of the gulls and other wildlife that evening.
Took this photograph just before Christmas. It wasn’t until I was editing it that I noticed he was standing on one leg. Not sure if he is missing the other leg or if he just was standing on one. Since I’ve seen and photographed him before I checked some of the earlier photographs and he was only on one leg then also. I think he is missing a leg.
Another photograph from my October trip to Asheville, NC. This is of the boathouse at Biltmore Estate. Was trying to capture the boathouse and some of the surrounding trees. Not sure if the light is perfect, but it was one of my favorites.
Another photograph from my recent trip to Asheville. The garden I was in was just transitioning to fall, but there were a few roses left. The sun had not reached the few in this area, and they still had some frost on them.
It’s been a while since I posted, summer is not my favorite time to take photographs. But I did get a few birds that visit the feeders and bird bath in my yard. One of the better ones that I got.
Another photograph from Boneyard Beach in Florida.
Small waterfall from Longwood Gardens. There was a larger one near this one, but this just filled the frame perfectly.
